Do I Need Air Fryer Accessories?
Whether you need air fryer accessories or not is entirely up to the user and what they intend on cooking. If you're just using it sparingly to make things like egg rolls, french fries, or to warm up pizza, the answer is likely no (although you will want to at least grab a pair of tongs or some silicone mitts to save your fingertips).
If you're a more advanced air fryer user, love trying new recipes, or want to give your oven or deep fryer a rest, you're going to want to pick up some of these air fryer accessories to take your air fryer experience to the next level.

OXO Good Grips Silicone Baking Mat
This is the only silicone mat I've found that fits perfectly inside my Breville oven air fryer. Also good for general baking as it replaces parchment paper.
Can I Use Aluminum Foil In The Air Fryer?
In a pinch, yes. You can fashion a small tray or inner basket out of aluminum foil. I've even been known to use some small pie plates or mini aluminum loaf pans in my air fryer.
A lot of other cooks I talk to like to use metal air fryer accessories when they're making some of my recipes.
I would recommend using silicone to use for cooking inside of the air fryer when possible. Metal and aluminum foil have a tendency to get hotter when cooking than silicone. Plus, it can cause your food to cook unevenly if you're cooking at an extremely high temperature or for a long period of time.
