Mealthy MultiPot 2.0 Review - Is It The Right Pressure Cooker For You?

Why You Should Trust My Mealthy Pressure Cooker Review

1. Footprint

The Mealthy MultiPot 2.0 claims to take the place of 9 different kitchen gadgets in one. Considering how much of a footprint that many small appliances could take up, the capacity on it is incredibly small. Here are the gadgets it claims to be able to replace:

7. Egg Maker
8. Yogurt Maker
9. Warmer

Will It Fit Under My Kitchen Cabinets?

Technically, yes, it will fit under your kitchen cabinets. I wouldn't recommend using it while it's under them.

It's nice to have the option to push it back to the back of your countertop to clear up more space for food prep, but when it comes time to start cooking, I would move it closer to the edge of your countertop. The reason for this is when your food is done cooking and it's time to release steam, the steam will not have a place to escape other than to the bottom of your counters and walls. This could cause significant damage to the wood, drywall, and paint in your kitchen.

There are a few different steam diverters that you can purchase to force the steam out a specific direction, but simply pulling the pressure cooker out away from your cabinets is always the better choice.

2. Capacity

The Mealthy Multipot 2.0 is currently only available in a 6 quart size. This is the most popular electric pressure cooker size, so for most people this will not be an issue. Here are a few reasons you may want to pass on this pressure cooker for the capacity:

• You have a family of 3 or less, or do not like left overs
• Have a family of 5 or more and don't have time to cook multiple batches of the same recipe
• You love to meal prep and want to make enough food to freeze for later

This Mealthy Multipot 2.0 comes with 14 functioning presets. That's right. FOURTEEN. The options are:

4. Ease Of Use

Like a lot of other popular electric pressure cookers, this Mealthy MultiPot 2.0 has a variety of preset cooking functions, along with the option to adjust the cooking times manually.

Even if you're not familiar with the pressure cooking, if you follow a few tried and tested recipes, you'll be cooking with your Mealthy MultiPot 2.0 in no time. 5. Ease Of Cleaning

The Mealthy MultiPot 2.0 is incredibly easy to clean. And when you cook in it, you're cutting out a lot of work washing extra dishes like you may need to if you were cooking your favorite meal on the stovetop.

As with any other electric pressure cooker, clean up is super simple. Here are a few things you'll need to do to clean up after cooking:

• Either hand wash the inner liner with soap and water or pop it in the dishwasher.
• Take a wet rag and wipe down the surface.
• If you're short on time, you can even put the lid in the dishwasher.

That's it. Nothing to take apart or scrub unless you want to replace or sanitize your sealing ring.

6. Price

Compared to other popular pressure cookers on the market, the Mealthy MultiPot 2.0 is very reasonably priced. Especially considering the fact that it is a multi-cooker (has more functions than just pressure cooking) and comes with so many accessories to make the most of your cooking experience.

Buy This If

• You don't own a pressure cooker
• Like meals done quick
• Prefer to do a lot of meal planning
• Want to be able to see the cooking progress of your food while it is inside of the pressure cooker.

Pass On This If

• You already have an electric pressure cooker
• Are brand loyal and love Instant Pot appliances
• Want an electric pressure cooker for beginners with minimal bells and whistles

Mealthy Pressure Cooker Pros and Cons

Pros

• Great customer service for any issues or questions you may have about your Mealthy MultiPot
• Comes in a family-friendly 6-quart size.
• Comes with a variety of accessories, so you don't need to buy even more just to get started
• The progress indicator on the front panel tells how close your food is to coming to pressure

Cons

• Replacement parts for the 8 quart are not easily accessible.
• Presets are the same as the original version. If you're not concerned with remembering to move the pressure valve before and after cooking, and rarely use the slow cook function, this isn't much of an improvement over the original MultiPot.
