Why You Should Trust My Review

• Coffee Fanatic. I absolutely adore coffee. When I'm not grabbing a coffee on the go, I'm using one of my many other coffee makers to make the perfect cup at home.
• Efficient. I love using kitchen gadgets to make cooking more efficient. That's the only way I know how to do things. If a cup of coffee is creating problems instead of fixing them, I'm not interested.

What Is A Kitchenaid Nespresso?

A Kitchenaid Nespresso is an in home espresso maker. Or, your new best friend. It's a coffee maker that uses tiny disposable pods to brew coffee in a flash.

Four Reviewing Points

There are four factors I took into consideration when I was reviewing the KitchenAid Nespresso. They are:

1. Footprint
2. Capacity
3. Ease of Use
4. Price

1. Footprint

One of the biggest factors a person will take into consideration when they're thinking of expanding their kitchen gadget collection will be how much space it takes up on their kitchen counter or how easy it will be to store if they don't use it very often.

Will The KitchenAid Nespresso Fit Under My Kitchen Cabinets?

Unlike a lot of other quick brewing or single serve coffee makers, this KitchenAid Nespresso doesn't have a large lid that raises and lowers to insert new espresso pods. This makes it more likely to fit under your kitchen counter than similar products.

If you're looking for exact measurements for the KitchenAid Nespresso, they are 13L x 8.2W x 13H inches.

2. Capacity

There are two different aspects of the capacity to take into consideration with this KitchenAid Nespresso. They are:

1. Water Bin
2. Used Nespresso Pod Bin

Water Bin

The water bin is where you place the water that is used in to make your espresso. When looking at the capacity of a water bin, you'll want one that is larger so you're not constantly refilling it. This machine has a very generous 40oz water bin. If you're only making 2oz shots of espresso at a time, you will not have to refill it very often.

Used KitchenAid Nespresso Pod Bin

When the KitchenAid Nespresso brews, it uses tiny disposable pods of coffee to make your espresso. Once the pod is used, there is a bin that the used pods drop in to. This allows you to go longer between tossing them, saving yourself even more time.

Other single cup coffee machines offer this as well. However, not all of them hold as many before they need emptied. The KitchenAid Nespresso can hold about 16 used pods before it needs emptied.

What Kind Of Coffee Do You Use In The KitchenAid Nespresso?

For this KitchenAid Nespresso, you have to use small disposable coffee pods. There are a few different brands that make them, so you have a decent variety of choice. Here are some of the brands you can choose from:

• Nespresso pods
• Starbucks pods
• Peet's pods

The only downside to using these pods is that you can't just run to the grocery store and get them. You have to order them online. But they're available through Amazon prime and other online retailers so they're still easy to come by.

3. Ease Of Use

Who wants a coffee maker that is a pain to use? When selecting the right coffee maker, you want something that's functional and easy.

How To Use The KitchenAid Nespresso Espresso Maker

I love how easy this espresso maker is to use. Here's how you do it:

1. Place your desired glass on the base of the Nespresso.
2. Raise the lever to open the pod compartment.
3. Insert the espresso flavor of your choice.
4. Lower the lever to close the pod compartment.
5. Adjust the know to the serving size you want.
6. Press the center of the turn dial twice to begin brewing.

How Many Different Brewing Functions Does The KitchenAid Nespresso Espresso Machine Have?

The Kitchenaid Nespresso has size different preset brewing setting to choose from. They are:

1. .85 oz
2. 1.35 oz
3. 2 oz
4. 3 oz
5. 3.7 oz
6. 4.4 oz

4. Price

The price of coffee machines that have similar functions can vary significantly. But the price of ownership is the more important thing to take into consideration. Here are a couple of things to help you decide if the price of this Nespresso justifies purchasing one for YOU.

• How often do you stop for coffee at your local coffee shop? If you find yourself stopping several times a week for coffee, and would be just as happy with coffee at home, this will easily save you money.
• Do you find yourself making a full pot of coffee and throwing half of it away? This machine reduces the waste of coffee by only brewing one or two cups at a time.

Things I Like About The KitchenAid Nespresso

There are several functions of this machine I like a lot. Here are some of my favorites:

• Lever. It has a sturdy lever, making it great for people that have hand mobility issues.
• Durable. This is made of metal, making it a very strong and durable machine.
• Customizable. You can adjust how much espresso brews each time.
• Easy Start. Simply double-tap the center of the dial to start brewing.
• Easy To Clean. All of the parts that would need regular cleaning come apart and back together easily.
• Overflow Bin. This has a spacious overflow bin to catch any spillage.

Things I Don't Like About The KitchenAid Nespresso

There's almost nothing I can fault with this machine. I absolutely love it, and I have for years. There are a couple of things I would change if I could:

• Price. This is an expensive gadget. There are similar products for a third of the price, but you get what you pay for with this espresso maker.
• Small Leakage. The used pod container has a tendency to leak when you remove it to empty it. But this is not a deal breaker for me.
• Unstable Tray. The KitchenAid Nespresso has a small tray above the base that you sit your cup on that you can put smaller glasses on. It has a hinge on it so you can use it only when needed. It doesn't lock into place and this can mess up the brewing path of your espresso.

Would I Buy This KitchenAid Nespresso?

I would say you should buy this coffee/espresso maker if:

• If you drink several cups of espresso a day.
• You like to make hand crafted beverages.
• You plan on keeping this appliance for a long time.
• People with hand mobility issues.

You might decide to pass on this gadget if:

• Are on a budget.
• Aren't a frequent coffee drinker.
• Have a smaller kitchen or limited space.
