Souper Cubes are freezer safe silicone trays with lids. They are marketed to help you safely and easily freeze and store food. Their generous capacity and sturdy construction make them a great investment.

1. Footprint

In the case of footprint for Souper Cubes, I'm going to break it down into two different categories:

1. How big are Souper Cubes and how much room do they take up in your cabinet when not in use?
2. The amount of room each cube of food takes up in your freezer when being stored.

How Big Are Souper Cubes?

Souper Cubes are actually quite compact and fit into even the smallest freezer spaces. They're a perfect fit if you're short on space to freeze food or want to use several of them at the same time. The actual dimensions are:

How Big Is Each Cube Of Food?

This is all dependent on how full you fill your Souper Cubes. They will be at most 6 inches wide and 5 inches tall. The length of your cube of food will depend on which portion size you buy. But we'll talk a little more about that below.

How Many Cubes Will Fit In A Freezer Bag?

If you're wondering how many of these frozen cubes can fit in a freezer bag, here's a few examples:

Quart Bag

• Four 1/2 cup cubes
• Two 1 cup cubes
• One 2 cup cube

Gallon Bag

• Eight 1/2 cup cubes
• Four 1 cup cubes
• Two 2 cup cubes

2. Capacity

The capacity of your Souper Cubes depends on which style you purchase. There are three different sizes. They are:

1. 1/2 Cup Souper Cubes
2. 1 Cup Souper Cubes
3. 2 Cup Souper Cubes

1/2 Cup Souper Cubes

This version has six separate compartments for freezing. Just like the name implies, you can freeze up to half of a cup of food in each compartment.

It has fill lines in each compartment to help you freeze specific amounts of food. You have the option to choose 1/4 cup or 1/2 cup amounts with the help of these fill lines.

1 Cup Souper Cubes

This version has four separate compartments for freezing. Just like the name implies, you can freeze up to one full cup of food in each compartment.

It has fill lines in each compartment to help you freeze specific amounts of food. You have the option to choose 1/2 cup or 1 cup amounts with the help of these fill lines.

2 Cup Souper Cubes

This version has two separate compartments for freezing. Just like the name implies, you can freeze up to two full cups of food in each compartment.

It has fill lines in each compartment to help you freeze specific amounts of food. You have the option to choose 1/2 cup, 1 cup, or 2 cup amounts with the help of these fill lines.

3. Features

As with many freezer storage options, there aren't many bells and whistles to comment on. It's simply a silicone freezer tray. However, there are a few things that make it better than some others on the market. These things are:

• Made from food-grade silicone.
• BPA Free
• Dishwasher Safe
• Metal in the Top of the tray helps it hold its shape for longer
• Since they're made of silicone, you can also bake in them.

4. Ease Of Use

These are SO simple to use. Here's how you do it:

1. Pour food in the compartments
2. Place the lid on top
3. Store on a flat surface in your freezer

Here's where you can do one of two things:

1. Keep the food in the silicone trays and pop the food out when you're ready to eat it.
2. Once the food is frozen solid, pop the food out of the cubes and place the cubes in freezer-safe baggies. Then you can freeze even more food for later.

What Can You Freeze In Souper Cubes?

The Souper Cubes work best for freezing liquids, but you don't have to stop there. Here are some of my favorite things to freeze in them:

• Soup
• Marinara Sauce
• Broth
• Rice and Dal

5. Ease Of Cleaning

Souper Cubes are a breeze to clean. You can either wash them by hand or pop them in the dishwasher with the rest of your dishes. Since they're food-grade silicone, food slides right off of them with a little bit of dish soap and water.

Are Souper Cubes Dishwasher Safe?

Yes, they are dishwasher safe. Simply rinse out any remaining food particles and pop in the top rack of your dishwasher.

6. Price

With price, you shouldn't only consider how much these Souper Cubes cost, but also how much money you will save by using them.

If you are someone that likes to meal prep or usually makes food for leftovers, these will be a game changer.

• You rarely cook more food than you consume at one meal

Souper Cubes Pros and Cons

I have and use these Super Cubes quite often. After using them so many times, I can honestly say that there aren't many cons to these Souper Cubes. Here are a few things I like and dislike:

Pros

• Great for saving leftovers
• Makes your freezer meals easy to stack and a breeze to store
• Keeps your food from getting freezer burn
• Easy to use
• Use for pot in pot cooking with your Instant Pot
• Can be used for baking
• Sturdy hidden metal reinforcements in the top of the frame make them longer-lasting than other cheaper options

Cons

• Can only freeze a few portions at a time unless you buy multiples
• More expensive than some other freezing methods, but a superior option.
