In the case of footprint for this Gourmia Air Fryer, it isn't actually just the amount of space the air fryer takes up on your kitchen counter. I'm also taking into consideration how tall it is and if it will fit under your kitchen counters.

The Gourmia Air Fryer is quite large in both aspects. Though it is an egg shaped air fryer (read more about how to choose the right air fryer based on shape) it still has a large footprint.

Will This Fit Under My Kitchen Cabinets?

The Gourmia Air Fryer will fit under your kitchen cabinets, but I wouldn't recommend using it there. Feel free to store it there, but you will not want to use it there because:

• The fans blow any of the hot air and condensation from the inside of the air fryer out the backside. This can cause bubbling of paint that may be too close to the gadget.
• This air fryer is very tall. Unless you're significantly taller than I am (5'5" on a good day) it will be hard to see inside the basket when it's pressed against the back of your counter top.

Capacity is, in my opinion, the most important factor you should consider when you're buying an air fryer. This Gourmia Air Fryer has a 3.6 quart capacity.

Capacity is, in my opinion, the most important factor you should consider when you're buying an air fryer. This Gourmia Air Fryer has a 3.6 quart capacity.

While it says it can hold up to 6 quarts of food inside of the basket, this is deceiving. You will never want to stack food on top of each other to fill the basket completely. Here's why:

• Food will not crisp.
• Food will not cook evenly.
• It will take a tremendous amount of time for the food to cook.

Since you will ideally only place a single layer of food in the Gourmia air fryer, the egg shape of the basket allows limits you from cooking too much food in at a time.

3. Ease Of Use

The Gourmia air fryer comes with the options for customization of time and temperature. These allow you to adjust the time by:

• Time - Increase or decrease by one minute increments.
• Temperature - Increase or decrease by 10 degree increments.

All you do is set the time, temperature (or use one of the eight presets I talk about below), and press start.

How To Use The Gourmia Air Fryer

Using the Gourmia Air Fryer is super simple. All you do to cook with it is:

1. Insert inner basket in the air fryer
2. Add food to the interior basket.
3. Press the preferred time/temperature combination or preset.
4. Turn food half way through cooking time.
5. Cook for the remainder of time.
6. Serve and enjoy.

How To Clean The Gourmia Air Fryer

When I know I'm going to cook something especially messy or greasy, I prefer to add a layer of aluminum foil or 1/4 cup of water to the bottom of the air fryer basket to help make clean up easier.

The small holes can be a little more difficult to clean, but I have a trick for getting those clean as well. Here's how you do it.

DON'T SCRUB. Seriously. Don't scrub the basket or the inside of your Gourmia Air Fryer basket. This will remove the nonstick coating and make your food stick even worse in the future. Here's how I clean mine:

1. Fill the basket and inner basket with warm water and dish soap.
2. Let sit for 15-20 minutes.
3. Take a soft rag and wipe out any residue.
4. Wipe down the outside of the air fryer.

Many people that choose to buy a new kitchen appliance they're unfamiliar with, will choose a less expensive option.

If this is your train of thought while picking out an air fryer, you're in for a treat. This Gourmia Air Fryer is one of the less expensive options on the market.

5. Would I Buy This?

What is the perfect air fryer for one person may not be the perfect air fryer for another person. Here are a few helpful hints to help you decide if this air fryer is the right one for you.

Buy This If

• You're on a budget.
• You cook a lot of the same things. The presets save you the time of adjusting time and temperature manually.
• You enjoy cooking specific recipes that require you to choose specific time and temperatures.
• You have a smaller family or your family doesn't enjoy leftovers.

Pass On This If

• You have a larger kitchen or don't mind putting away your kitchen gadgets after each use.
• You aren't comfortable adjusting cooking times based on the temperature only going up and down by 10 degree increments.
• Don't cook many of the items that this Gourmia Air Fryer has presets for.
• Have hand mobility issues. You have to press a button to make the interior basket separate from the air fryer. This can prove difficult at times.
• You have a larger family or prefer to cook leftovers to reheat later.

Gourmia Air Fryer Pros

I really do like this air fryer a lot. Here are some of the best things about it (in my opinion):

• Inexpensive
• Great for small families or side dishes
• Easy to use
• Light weight for easy storage

Gourmia Air Fryer Cons

There aren't a lot things I dislike about this air fryer. However, here are a few things some people might wish were different:

• Too small for a large family
• Several presets you may not find helpful
• Tkaes up a lot of room on your counter top
