Koch Systeme Cookware Set
There are several different things I take intoaccount when I choose a pan or pan set that is right for my kitchen. After all, I cook A LOT. And I don't have the time or the ability to scrub pans due to my hand mobility issues. Here are some of the things I used to determine if this Koch Systeme CS Cookware Set was worth buying:
- Material Of The Pan
- Quality Of Construction
- Ease Of Cooking
- Price
- Does It Come In A Set?
- Would I Buy It?
1. Material Of The Pan
Koch cookware is three-ply, which means it heats more evenly and is more durable and resistant to warping than other pans that do not offer this kind of craftsmanship. Rest assured that your food will not stick to these pans and they will last significantly longer than some of the less expensive pans currently sitting in your kitchen cabinets.
And for those of you who are worried about choosing a nonstick pan without Teflon or other potentially harmful materials, the Koch Systeme CS cookware set is PFOA/ PFOS/ PFAS Free.

2. Quality Of Construction
When it comes to quality of construction, the body of the pan isn't the only thing you should take into consideration. I have already discussed how great the material quality is in this pan, but I also want to talk about the handles and the rivets in ths Koch Systeme CS cookware set.
Handles
The handles are made of quality crafted finished wood. This makes them easy to clean, aesthetically pleasing, and wonderfully heat resistant. They are quite wide which makes them easy to keep a grip on. This is especially helpful for people with hand mobility issues like me.
Rivets
Like most other high-end pans on the market, the Koch Systeme CS cookware set has handles that are attached by flat rivets. You may be asking yourself why this is important. Well, if you want a pan that is easy to clean, you want flat rivets. If they are rounded or not flush with the body of the pan, food can become stuck in the small spaces around them making it difficult to clean and unsanitary to cook in.
Another great thing about this cookware set is that it is induction cooktop friendly. Not only is it compatible with your induction cooktop or burner, this also means that it will heat evenly every single time.
3. Ease Of Cooking
This cookware set is a dream to cook in. When you're using these pans to cook things that may normally stick, you won't have to worry about spraying them down with nonstick spray or using an abundance of oil or butter to keep food from sticking.
In addition to cooking your favorite foods without sticking, you also don't have to worry about burning them on a "hot spot". Since the Koch Systeme cookware set is three-ply, it is free of hotspots and cooks evenly.
4. Price
This cookware set is similar in price to other pan sets you would typically find in a big box store. But with price, I tend to compare cost vs. value. While this may not be much cheaper than another cookware set you can grab at Walmart or Target, it is comparable in quality to the high-end pan sets you would find at any of the reputable kitchen stores or high-end home websites.
Trust me when I say that the value for the cost of this Koch Systeme CS cookware set is absolutely worth the purchase.
5. Does It Come In A Set?
Koch cookware offers options to purchase their nonstick pans in singles, pairs, and even sets. This gives you the freedom to purchase an assortment of pans in a reputable brand that will fit whatever your kitchen needs may be.
What Is Included?
For the rather inexpensive price of this Koch Systeme CS cookware set, you'll be delightfully surprised by how much is included. Here is what you will get when you purchase this pan set:
- 8 inch covered fry pan
- 3 quart covered saute pan
- 10 inch covered fry pan
- 1.5 quart covered saucepan
- 3 quart covered saucepan
- 5 quart covered saucepan
- Utensil set
- Slotted spatula
- Slotted spoon
- Pasta server
- Soup ladle
- Solid turner
6. Would I Buy It?
I am not one to typically gravitate toward a whole pan set when I'm shopping for new pans. The initial allure to buying this way is so you can display a matching set of pans to add to the overall aesthetic of your kitchen.
Unfortunately with a lot of the beautiful fashion colors available, it is quite difficult to find one that matches to replace a pan in your set if something happens to it.
With this Koch Systeme CS cookware set, I'm actually not opposed to purchasing an entire set. They are beautifully made but also seem to be quite durable. By the time I would need to replace a single pan in this set, my assumption is that I would need to replace the entire set anyway. Plus, the most commonly used pans in this set (the frying and saute pans) are available to purchase individually.
Buy This If:
- You need to replace several of your existing pans
- Want to buy a great housewarming gift
- Like quality and durability
- You need true nonstick cookware
Pass On This If:
- You only need to replace one or two of your favorite pans
- You prefer the look of classic stainless steel or copper pans
Pros and Cons
I haven't used this Koch Systeme CS cookware set as much as I have used some of my other reliable pans. However, with the few times I have used these pans I have gathered up some of the great things about them and some of the things I would change if I could.
Pros
- Completely nonstick
- Beautiful appearance
- Interchangeable lids for some pan sizes
- Heat resistant handles
- 3 ply craftsmanship
Cons
- Color options are limited
- No option to purchase replacements for all pans included in the set

The handles are not real wood, which isn't a negative, it's just that they aren't real wood as stated in the review.
