1. Footprint

As with most other Dash kitchen appliances, this compact air fryer is quite small. If you need something to fit your small cooking space or something that is perfect for a dorm or apartment, the Dash compact air fryer deserves strong consideration.

If you're curious about what the actual dimensions of this air fryer are to see how well it will fit in your cooking space, they are:

10.2 x 8.1 x 11.4 inches

It is perfect to store away after each use or push under your kitchen cabinets between uses to make the most out of your limited counter top space.

2. Capacity

Air fryers come in a variety of capacities ranging from 2 quarts to almost 6 quarts. Capacity is, in my opinion, the most important factor you should consider when you're buying an air fryer. This Dash compact air fryer has a 1.6 quart capacity.

While it says it can hold up to 1.6 quarts of food inside of the basket, this is deceiving. You will never want to stack food on top of each other to fill the basket completely. Here's why:

• Food will not crisp.
• Food will not cook evenly.
• It will take a tremendous amount of time for the food to cook.

Since you will ideally only place a single layer of food in the Dash Compact Air Fryer, the round shape will limit how much food you can cook in a single cooking cycle.

To give you an idea of how much food you can comfortably cook in this air fryer at once, here are a few examples:

• Half a bag of french fries
• 6 chicken wings
• 6 eggs
• 3 small burger patties

3. Features

Compared to some of the other air fryer models on the market, this Dash compact air fryer is fairly limited on the features it offers. Even with the limited features, there are still several that are noteworthy. They are:

• Cool-touch handle on the air fryer basket for safe use
• Auto shut off function when the cooking cycle ends. This prevents food from overcooking and forgetting to turn off the air fryer after use.
• Adjustable time controls for easy recipe execution
• Adjustable temperature controls for perfectly cooked favorites

Don't let the limited features (such as no presets for commonly cooked air fryer foods) talk you out of buying this Dash compact air fryer. It is still quite functional if you follow a great recipe.

4. Ease Of Use

One of the things people have been known to love about Dash kitchen appliances is how easy they are to use. Since this small air fryer doesn't have a lot of different cooking functions to work with, it is quite simple to use.

• Remove the air fryer basket
• Add the food of your choice
• Place air fryer basket back in the air fryer
• Adjust the cooking temperature
• Set the cooking time
• Carefully remove the hot air fryer basket after the cooking cycle is complete
• Enjoy your deliciously air fried food

5. Ease Of Cleaning

This air fryer is an absolute breeze to clean. I've owned air fryers in the past that took longer to clean than it did to cook the food. No one wants an appliance that is hard to clean. There's no fear of that being the case with this model.

How To Clean A Dash Compact Air Fryer

DON'T SCRUB. Seriously. Don't scrub the basket or the inside of your Dash Compact Air Fryer basket. This will remove the nonstick coating and make your food stick even worse in the future.

1. Fill the basket and inner basket with warm water and dish soap.
2. Let sit for 15-20 minutes.
3. Take a soft rag and wipe out any residue.
4. Wipe down the outside of the air fryer.

If you're feeling lazy or simply just like to make life easier, this air fryer has a dishwasher safe basket. Just wipe out any crumbs or drippings and toss the basket in your dishwasher along with the rest of your dishes.

6. Price

If you need something affordable to make cooking more enjoyable, the Dash compact air fryer is just that. The more features an air fryer has, and the larger capacity it has, the higher the price is likely to be.

With this air fryer, you get what you pay for. It's small with limited features, but it is still quite functional and worth every penny. With the money you'll save skipping take out, this Dash air fryer will pay for itself in no time at all.
